Ode to Aimee

After seven plus months of trying to conceive and somewhere in there finding out that her eggs were being a bit stubborn and needed some motivation from Clomid, my friend and co worker is finally with child.  She called me and the only thing she said was "Kayla."

Me: "um, yea"
Aimee: "I think I might be pregnant"

From there she proceeded to tell me about the cheap test with 2 lines but the first line was very faint that she just took, so I stopped by the drugstore on my way to her place (I was already on my way there) to grab the clearblue easy test with the definitive "pregnant" or "not pregnant" result.  Within a few minutes that eight letter work showed up and her life was changed forever!

I'm so happy for her and her husband Eric, but mostly because I get to make fun of her now since she's already got 7 months of making fun of me out of the way.  So, Aimee, get ready because when you barf and feel like a fat cow, and can't think of anything to eat or later when you can think of everything to eat, I'll be laughing at you!
