Playing Around with the Canon

First Visit Back To SC

This past weekend, Caleb and I took our first trip to South Carolina as visitors. A bit strange, but we were welcomed well and it felt great to see family. The purpose of the trip was to go to 3 different events...all scheduled for the same day. 1 - a baby shower for Owen Brodrick (the mom is my best friend's sister and due ANY DAY). 2 - The Skelly/Price wedding. Brandon is in flight school with Caleb and a long time family friend, not to mention goof ball! Of course the wedding was a blast, because to be with Brandon for a lifetime, meant God had to make a pretty special woman...I love you Crissy!
And last, but not least, a shower for our good friends, Bethany and Brandon. They are getting married on July 18 (2 days after my birthday -fyi) and Caleb is the best man and I am the second shooter for the wedding. Kind of nervous and excited, plus...its about time for these two! So, enjoy the pictures from the weekend!

Linds and her grandmother awing at how BIG she is! Hopefully Owen will make and appearance soon!

Life in the DEEP South

Finally! We have internet so I can blog a complete post! Lately Alabama has been busy. Ya know, unpacking, making new friends, having cook outs...living the high life of summer in the deep south. Our new home is and older one, so a lot of my time has been spent cleaning and taking random trips to Lowes and Wally World. Over all the experience has been positive and I'm ready to see what else is in store. Enjoy the pics!

My new friend, Emily and me at our house hanging out when we had our cookout. Some of Caleb's bachelor friends mentioned that all they eat is poptarts and pb&j, so I decided to have a cookout and actually feed these soldiers. Emily helped by bringing fruit and making cookies!

digging in...this is our dining room by the way.

The porch, FILLED with boxes, that are now GONE!

Caleb's new set of wheels! I am so excited that we don't have to share a car anymore!

Emily and her husband, Rafael, made us dinner. Asian cuisine...afterwards we had some of my dirt pie while watching Army Wives...yes, the guys watched too :)

Pics by Sara Parker

Before we moved to Alabama, A friend of ours, Sara Parker took some pictures of us. Sara is an up and coming photographer in Columbia and such a great friend. She has taken pictures of some of my friends' weddings, children and of Caleb and me before he left for basic training. Our photo sessions with Sara are becoming an annual thing. And we are always amazed by the results. Please stop by her blog and check out her stuff, as well as my army officer and me : )

Mrs. Foust...Finally

My friend, Clory, has been with the same guy since high school and they are FINALLY married as of a week ago. Although I was not able to make it to the wedding because I was moving to Alabama that day, I was able to go to her bridal portrait session and I must say, I truly have never gotten chills from someone who looked so beautiful or more happy to be marrying her best friend and a heck of a guy. Here are a few shots that I got from the day.

Congrats Clory and Payton!!!

At the closing of the session, the photography made her take her hair down and her bouquet apart, but it worked out

Smith Wedding Shower

On Saturday, we were invited to a couples shower for Brandon and Bethany. They got a lot of loot and we ate good food. It was great taking advantage of the nice weather. Here are a few pictures from the night.

Yes, that's 6 sisters from the same mama and dad!

Caleb is an Army Warrant Officer

The anticipation is over. My husband is a warrant officer! I went to Fort Rucker for a week to get accustomed to the area before calling it my home and the end result was riding 7hours in a car with my husband that I had not seen in 7 weeks and was now an officer. I am so proud of him! The week long preparation, which wives are encouraged to be a part of, made me feel like I had accomplished something too. So, as always, a few pics of the week.

SO HAPPY!!!

You can tell he's relieved.

Getting pinned by his Dad and me. Never thought I'd "pin" my husband (for all you wrestling folks :)

Micah and me playing on the top bunk at Jay and Kerri's house where we crashed for the week. Crowded, but a blast!

I would also like to say congrats to another graduate, Sarah Ayer! Way to go girl! I wish you the best in college! My God prosper in you as you grow in your art!
