On Christmas day our little family spent it with my parents and brother. We got there early to open presents. Emmalyn was spoiled yet again.
My brother put together her biggest toy - a stand up/sit down activity table. This one has five songs that it plays and once you hear one of them you'll never get it out of your head.
She also got a ton of new stuffed animals like a pink elephant, a new lovie and her first baby doll.
After opening presents and eating our traditional Christmas day lunch the men decided to go deer hunting while the girls went to the Frazier house to visit. Emmalyn got presents from Owen and Aunt B! However, Owen did not like the sight of his mommy holding another baby.
A sweet picture of Emmy and Aunt B.
When we got back home we learned that my husband had shot his first deer. He was pretty excited about it.
The next morning we woke up to a small dusting of SNOW! If you know me at all, I live for snow! It is one of my favorite things - probably because I've lived in the south my entire life and have always only had small amounts. I was so happy to be able to share this rarity with Emmalyn.
After watching the snow fall with Grandmama and Granddaddy, we headed to Ama and Bop's house to play with the other cousins.
The snow accumulation was significantly more there so while everyone was napping I ventured outside to take pictures.
I still need to find some time to do some post processing, but I think I've got a few framers in the bunch!
The rest of our time was spent with my family. We went shopping, out to eat and would then come home and play with a very animated Emmalyn. Having my family gathered around a laughing baby was pure bliss.
