Anna Grace
I had the pleasure of photographing this precious little girl yesterday. She is the daughter of one of my coworkers in the NICU and she was an absolute joy. I didn't have to work too hard! I don't know if it was the lighting, but by the look of these, I think I might be getting the hang of this! Still no editing material, so these are straight from the canon.
My Favorite Movies - you may not have heard of them
Talk about a love story. This movie is about love that grabs this chick and won't let her go, during the worst time in her life. I think every woman wants to be chased by a man the way she was chased in this story. This is the ultimate secret admirer love story.
This movie is about 4 friends going through the time in a girl's life when she is trying to figure out who she is apart from everyone else. The soundtrack is awesome! This summer that I watched this for the first time I bought a pair of ocean pacific shoes and wore long shorts with them acting like I was in the 60's. I love how during that time these girls would be gone all day long riding their bikes to where ever moved them and it was no big deal. If only the world was still that carefree.
Ah Andre. Every time I see this movie I cry. For a while (and still, secretly) I wanted a pet seal : ) I'm such an animal lover and this movie just made me happy and sad at the same time. I pretty much learned about how aging works from this movie. The little girl meets up with Andre, they become great friends and she practically raises the seal, but the APA put Andre in the local zoo. He then starts to act out and they let him go into the wild where he came from. Every summer for migration he swims back to her, until one summer, during her adult years, he doesn't show. I'm going to cry just thinking about it. It is a true story and at the end there is real footage of Andre with the Whitney family. It is an amazing story and a great family movie.

This is what boring looks like
Ok, this is pretty much a waste of your time to read, but I'm at work and bored. There are better posts coming soon full of pics that I have been diligently taking. I have so many people volunteering to pose for me to gain experience and I'm loving it. Definitely finding my nitch. Editing is not exactly my favorite aspect though. There are a lot of things to be thinking about and lot to look forward to.
Also, please pray for Cheryl Wright Miller whose husband, Drew, of 4 years passed away last week from cystic fibrosis.

On Cloud 9
I finally got the camera. It's not exactly new, but it is a canon and it is a SLR. I'm LOVING this photography stuff. Granted I'm not great at it...yet, and just started a few days ago, so I haven't had much of a chance to experiment or travel to interesting places to shoot, but I've been trying it out and have fallen in love.
Here is a few pictures from the first 2 days. Hopefully, there will be better ones to come.
Storm clouds
Max
a candid shot a got of my brother. He will never look at a camera so you have to sneak pictures of him
More clouds
My favorite flower, only this on is fake

Fabulous
This past weekend was so wonderful! I got to spend so much time with some great friends in celebration of the next to become a wife, Clory. First I would like to say that she is going to marry one of the most amazing men I know. Payton is driven, a genius, clean, has a sense of humor, and will soon be Dr. Foust. I could not be more happy for my friend and the hopeful future she has awaiting her.
With that said, I would like to tell you about the festivities of the bachelorette weekend. We started off at Taco Boy where we were introduced to fish tacos, which were not bad I must say. Then we strutted our stuff to the beach where we stayed for 3+ hours, talking, taking dips in the still rather cold ocean water and reminiscing about high school, our husbands, and what life has in story for us. After our very girlie gab fest, eight of us when back to Clory's new James Island apartment, which has one bathroom, and took very quick showers. This was kind of amusing because there are eight girls taking showers, blow drying their hair, putting on makeup, laughing, and trying on 3+ outfits and asking each other "what do you think about this one?" all at the same time. Every guy's nightmare to be stuck in! But this is what girls do and we were all ready for dinner within an hour and a half with no girl fights to mention.
Our hostess, Amanda, lead us to Hank's, a wonderful seafood restaurant in downtown Charleston where there were 2 bottles of wine waiting for us from the bride's husband-to-be (I told you he was great). Dinner was a blast and we definitely took our time enjoying the good food. I think Clory loved having her best friends surrounding her in her honor, and we were so happy to be there with her.
We decided to take the party to the streets and have a nice stroll with our friend in all of her bachelorette ensemble, complete with a crown, sash, and boa. She was rather embarrassed but got over it as the night went on.
I've posted some pictures of this "unforgetable" weekend.
Payton and Clory ~ June 12, 2009
This is Amanda's "bird's nest" after working all night.
Well, this is a bit blurry, but it looks like Hazel is attached to Clory's chin
Becoming domesticated. Maybe I'll rub off on them, or maybe they are just wearing those aprons for looks ;)
The Bachelorette
On our way home. A 1.5 hour ride that turned into 3 hours complete with 3 wrecks and pouring rain. The luggage and I were companions in the backseat.
