This is another post from the past few days. Can't fit it all in one. Last night we met some friends at the Freedom Fest which is an Independence Day festival for everyone in town on base full of food, boutique sales, helicopter rides, music and fireworks. It was so great to be sitting in the dark with 8 other friends going to through the same experiences we are looking up into a cloudless, black sky illuminated by beautiful fireworks and music playing in the background surrounded by laughter. It really was very simple, but wonderful at the same time
The fire truck was set out with a long line of kids waiting to blow the horn which startled us almost every 30 seconds.
On the way to base, I spotted this old car for sale and thought it would be a good photo opportunity.
